Will it work for me?
Do they really come off cleanly?
They're made to. Sherrill used them on a laminated poster: “they came off perfectly!” Removable adhesive builds up over time, though. Heat, pressure and months on the surface make any removable dot harder to lift. On something valuable, test one first.
Removable or permanent: which do I need?
Removable if the dot is temporary: prices, room setups, status that changes, borrowed items. Permanent if it has to survive handling or cold. Rachel tried removable on vaccine syringes: “The removable formula did not work on syringes as they don’t stick.” She switched to permanent.
Can I use them in the cold?
Apply removable dots at room temperature. The fluorescent and gold colors (TR440 adhesive) need 40°F or warmer to apply and then hold from -65°F to 150°F. For freezer work, choose permanent dots.
How big is 1/2 inch?
0.5 in (12.7 mm), a little smaller than a dime. Big enough for a dot code; tight for writing more than a letter or number. See the size guide in the photos.
Can I write on them?
Yes. The standard colors are matte paper, which takes felt-tip and permanent marker well. There's room for a letter, number or initials. We haven't lab-tested ballpoint or pencil; ask for a free sample to try your pen.
Will the roll fit my dispenser?
Standard 3-inch core, about 5/8 in wide and about 3.7 in across. It fits dispensers built for 3" cores and narrow rolls. Rolls ship without a dispenser box; if you want a box, look at the 1/2" removable box of 1,000.
Do volume discounts work if I mix colors?
Yes. Every color of this product counts toward the same tier, so 2 red + 1 green is 3 rolls. Different sizes are counted separately. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.
Can I pay with a purchase order?
Yes. We take POs with Net 30 terms ($200 minimum). Card orders have no minimum.
